Emerging Leaders of New York Arts (ELNYA) invites you to learn how to learn how to make data sexy for your stakeholders.

See how leaders in the cultural field have been attracting attention for their innovative use of data and seducing audiences and funders alike while strengthening their impact.  For this ELNYA Creative Conversation, we will discuss the value of using data as a bridge between program, stakeholder, and the wider policy community. Whether you’re working on a project, for an organization, building in a community or thinking about civic engagement, understanding different sources and uses of data can be critical to innovation, scaling and success.

Presenters will discuss 4 key initiatives: Fractured Atlas’s cultural asset mapping software, Archipelago, The Pearl Theatre Company’s participation in National Study of Intrinsic Impact, Alliance for the Arts’ NYC ARTS iPhone App, and the Cultural Data Project. Leaders will share motivations, strategies, and lessons learned while collecting, analyzing and using data and technology to enhance their results and furthering efforts with respect to: Programming  (intrinsic impact), Marketing (event mapping, audience engagement), Funding (program evaluation, resource allocation), and Advocacy (asset mapping, community/civic life).
