Roddy Schrock facilitates creative work that critically examines culture and art and their relationship to emerging technologies.  At Eyebeam, he runs and develops its public programs and residencies, bringing together artists, designers and technologists to engage the public through implementation of often challenging new works.

Since joining Eyebeam in 2009, he has implemented initiatives which foster new works in sound art like the "Rec. Play" series, overseen multiple robust seasons of public programs, including the yearly Eyebeam Annual Showcase and large scale exhibitions and performances. He also launched international residency collaborations with V2_ and Baltan Labs in the Netherlands, The White Building in London, and Tsinghua Art & Science Media Laboratory in Beijing.

Most recently, he proudly managed the 2013 residency round which brought in more women than men as residents for the first time in Eyebeam's history.

He is an active sound artist having worked in the Tokyo-based "noise unit" Tog for several years and studied electronic music in the Netherlands (Royal Conservatory of the Hague) and Northern California (Mills College). He happily calls New York City home, where he lives with his partner.
