Eyebeam Alumni Production Fellows

The Eyebeam Production Lab seeks Fellows to explore innovative technical and formal areas of computer graphics, experimental video, moving image/sound installation, games, networked projects, and interactive programming that result in public projects or conceptual work. The Production Fellowship is an ideal time for artists to experiment with new ideas and techniques and create new work. Eyebeam’s Production Lab supports those innovating with the form, content and technique of creating media that deals with social themes.

The Production Lab is particularly interested in developing screen-based work that experiments with new modes of collaboration and social interaction. Its objective is to bring different groups of artists together to act as resources for one another on visionary projects. Fellows are expected to bring both technical and creative skills to bear on a range of self-directed and collaborative projects.

The Fellowship is granted to media artists who concentrate in technical areas, including: technical direction (rigging/dynamics/open source software development), 2D graphics (compositing/motion graphics/editing), 3D graphics (modeling/texturing/lighting/animation), interactive programming (for network, database, data visualization or open source software) or sound design. In addition to technical fluency in at least one of these areas, the ability to work individually and as well as on team projects is key.
