This is one of those projects.

Some background: Aeros, who is originally from Baltimore MD, has been studying abroad in Aix en Provence, in the South of France (we're extremely jealous!) Aix is the home of some amazing artists, including one of our favorites, St. Arsky.
Aeros has been has been painting a series of angel wings on wall all over Aix. Each one has a little has a little message in the midde. She tells us -- "The whole concept behind these wings is that anyone, anywhere should be able to step back from everyday life and be able to fly...this isn't an angel deal, its more of seeing wings as freedom and thought."
There are a few "categories" for the wings:
La Libert : Freedom
1. Place yourself in front of these wings
2. Close your eyes
3. Fly
(these are a series of yellow pairs of wings, and also a series of green wings under the clouds)

Baby Blue Wings
For the kids who want to fly, too
Le Repos: The Rest
1. Sit in front of these wings
2. Breathe
3. Lose yourself in your imagination

L'Attente: The Wait
1. Lean against these wings
2. Take in your surroundings
3. Wander through your thoughts
These are usually green "sideways" wings

ah, yes... the south of france is a great place to be in... -- AP
