Innes Yates B.Arch, MSAAD, MAIBC

Innes Yates is a Vancouver based architect and designer. He is a licensed architect and member of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia. He is also a partner in the design company IF, which specializes in innovative and sustainable product design.

Innes holds a Masters in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University, and a professional Bachelor of Architecture degree from Carleton University, where he received the RAIC Gold Medal for his design thesis. He has worked in architectural practice in Canada, France, New York, and Berlin. In 2002, Innes was a research fellow in the Emerging Fields Research & Design program at Eyebeam in New York. He has taught architecture at the Technical University of Berlin, and is a frequent guest critic and thesis advisor at the University of British Columbia School of Architecture in Vancouver.

Judith Gieseler Dipl-Ing.Arch, MSAAD, AKBW

Judith A. Gieseler holds a professional degree in Architecture from University of Kaiserslautern, Germany and a Masters in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University, New York. Judith is a licensed architect in Germany (AKBW).

Judith has worked in architecture offices in Europe and North America, including Bolles-Wilson Architects in Germany and Mecanoo Architects in the Netherlands.

Since 2002, Judith has been Assistant Professor for Design and Building Construction at the Technical University of Berlin. In 2008, she was Visiting Assistant Professor at the School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture at UBC, Vancouver.

Judith’s research focuses on digital design technologies generated and applied in the framework of biologically and algorithmically inspired processes and digitally assisted sustainable design.
