Just in time for the holiday gift-giving season, Eyebeam will transform into a high-tech version of the North Pole, with a day of artist-led workshops and DIY activities for people of all ages. The fourth annual Holiday Hackshop will feature toy hacking, heirloom vegetable planting and seed preservation; workshops about alternative energy generation; plus a few of the old favorites.
Sign up: 10 people per workshop (open to all ages, recommended that those eight years and younger are accompanied by an adult). Task: Create a small physical animation, powered by a hand crank—a riff off traditional automata making, but with cardboard, as opposed to wood.
