prototyping

My secret love of underground systems has won, making everything fall into place conceptually (everyone around me seemed to know where this was headed). The big paper prototype helped by showing me a lot of things that I don't want to build, but like the idea of other people building. This is great, now i can focus!

I've created a large-scale paper prototype in the main space. It is based on my interviews with 30 people, and will be a sketchbook for the community over the next month.

Eyebeam presents Open Prototyping, an environment designed to share the ongoing research and production of its fellows and residents. Through Tuesday, April 26, the main exhibition space will operate as a platform for public engagement through workshops, presentations, demonstrations, and informal daily interactions. Like the recent X-Lab program, Open Prototyping fosters an experimental approach that embraces tinkering, critical dialogue, user testing, and the real-time presentation of creative research.
