Annual Showcase
Open Studios
Opening Reception Thursday, January 17, 6–8PM, Free
Eyebeam’s Annual Showcase will highlight innovative works produced at the organization during 2012. The showcase offers a rare look into current innovations in media arts, while celebrating the organization’s preeminence in research and the development of new works and platforms. The Annual Showcase will provide the public an opportunity to engage directly with the artists and creative technologists working at Eyebeam through a series of moderated conversations on Saturday, January 19.
Each year, the organization invites between 15 and 20 artists to join its residency and fellowship programs through a highly competitive open call, providing a generous stipend and access to its fabrication tools and working space. “We are proud of supporting the next generation of innovators and allowing them the support and freedom to challenge one another to greater heights,” explains Roddy Schrock, Eyebeam’s Director of Programs & Residencies.
