Mobilized: Exploring Mobile Media and the Public Sphere
A kick-off event for Mobilized including three presentations and time for mingling with a live electronic soundscape.
Mobilized is an ‘un-conference’ (a conference where the content of the sessions is driven and created by the participants) about mobile and other locative communications media and technologies and their implications for the nature of public space and social interaction. The event will be a convergence of students, artists, scholars, activists, media professionals and their passions for mobile technology. Through the Mobilized framework, an environment where mobile enthusiasts (and critics) can meet, share and learn from each other will emerge.
