2026 Open Call

We are very excited to announce the 2026 Open Call for the Speculating on Plurality residency, our return to an in-person emerging artist support program, offering NYC-based emerging artists the opportunity to think, share, play, and connect at NYU Tandon @ The Yard in Brooklyn.

Selected residents receive a $4,000 stipend, access to shared workspace and a dedicated desk, a public platform to share their work and research, and opportunities to engage with partner organizations, visiting professionals, and Eyebeam’s alumni network.

About Eyebeam

Eyebeam invests in artists who create with technology and explore how it influences the way we live. Our alumni community consists of a diverse cohort committed to creating equitable systems in support of creativity and in service to artists, and society at large. We all come from a variety of cultural, ethnic, and professional backgrounds; our work and the issues we examine together are often provocative, emotional, and urgent. Our alumni’s various artistic and cultural practices are often rooted in a radical perspective of framework around justice. Through their work, we witness how technology imagines new modalities that oppose violent global hierarchies to create possibilities for materialized justice and reframes and repairs historical memories that are sabotaged and erased by existing power structures.
